Thank you so much for writing this for me! I can't wait to see what you come up with. Please feel free to ignore any of my waffling about the fandoms if they're not helpful - it's all optional! First, the general stuff...

I like characters to be friends (or at least frenemies!). I like to see the progression of a friendship between newly-met characters who grow to like and trust each other over time, and eventually would do just about anything for each other, especially when they don't like each other all that much at first and their friendship is somewhat unexpected. I really enjoy people in relationships that grow from friendship, particularly if that's unexpected too. With established partners: how do they deal with daily life, how do they solve conflicts, how do they support and comfort each other when things don't go too well?

I'm particularly partial to humour, wit, sarcasm and silliness in my fic. I like characters with a shared sense of humour that tends towards the sarcastic, especially when used to express affection by people who aren't comfortable discussing 'feelings'. Awkward conversations that play out terribly, tonally incongruous humor, banter, bickering, friendly arguments, cutting commentary, subtle (or not so subtle) mockery, politeness or the pretense of it as veneer or weapon against the unaware are totally my bag. A story absolutely doesn’t have to be funny for me to like it, though: I like angst, arguments, seemingly unrequited longing, and heartache in small doses, as long as there’s a happy ending.

I love epistolary fic – not necessarily just in the form of actual letters; in a modern setting voicemail, emails, texts, blog posts, message board transcripts, Facebook or Twitter posts will work, in any combination. Diaries are good too.

I enjoy plot-driven stories and character-driven stories that focus on relationships. Plots that show off character are perfect – the best of both worlds! I like stories that span an hour and stories that span years.

Any rating is fine with me. I love romance, slow-burn UST to RST, first-time stories, porn - see note at the end of the general section about porn.

Back story, missing scene fic, established relationships, prequels, sequels, the same scene from different perspectives, fix-its, canon divergence will be loved. I love ‘five things’ type fics that show off significant moments in characters' lives. I love short fics, long fics, and anything else that takes your fancy. I love forced bed sharing, arranged or accidental marriages, and 'pretend' boyfriends.

Feel free to include characters that I didn't specifically ask for if they fit your story, but I'd prefer my requested character(s) to be the focus of the story.

I love crossovers (both sneaky and overt) and fusions where one set of characters are transplanted to another canonical universe. As long as I know the other canon or canons, I will be delighted. Feel free to use any interest in my profile that takes your fancy (or even more than one – the more the merrier); there are plenty to choose from!

Swearing, crudity etc is not a problem, and in fact where it is a thing in canon I’d prefer it to be included.

One of my biggest squicks to the point of phobia is pregnancy (male or female), so even if a canon might be expected to make a big deal out of it, please don't go there. In connection with this, no A/B/O please. Cruelty to/death of animals triggers the hell out of me, to the point that I can't read stories that mention it.

I really need a story with a happy ending. Some unhappy elements on the way or references to past hurts are fine if the outcome is happy, but nothing extremely dark, please, and don't make it the focus of the story.

Things I don't want include deathfic (excluding those canons involving canon conflict, though I would prefer OC death rather than canon character death), noncon, dubcon, torture, abuse, A/B/O, infidelity, any other type of partner betrayal, character bashing, kidfic, embarrassment/humiliation and certain kinks (bodily waste in a sexual context, blood, lifestyle D/s, age-play, knotting and bestiality).

Not exactly a dislike, but...
I tend to have a problem with AUs in that the further away an AU gets from canon, the more difficulty I have 'seeing' the characters in my mind's eye. This is especially true if the setting of the AU necessitates tinkering with the characters' names.

There are SO MANY questions about this! How did the One Ring get to the Discworld? How did Sam Vimes get hold of it? What does the Ring (or Sauron) want with the Discworld? How does it try to work on Vimes to get what it wants? Is he tempted or not? Maybe he ends up terrifying the Ring/Sauron. If the Ring got to the Discworld by accident, does Sauron send the Black Riders to look for it? What does Vimes think of them and how does he (perhaps helped by the rest of the Watch, who would be welcome in any story) deal with them? How do other people react to Vimes having the Ring (Vetinari would almost certainly find out about it, and Sybil might notice a change in Vimes' personality)?

Or alternatively, how did Vimes get to Middle Earth? How did he get hold of the One Ring? As above, how does it try to work on Vimes to get what it wants? Is he tempted or not? Maybe he ends up terrifying the Ring/Sauron. Does he meet up with the Fellowship, or does he go to Mount Doom with Frodo and Sam? How does his presence affect the Quest?

Barney Collier/Willy Armitage (Mission Impossible (TV 1966))

The old married couple of the team :D - they usually worked together behind the scenes of missions, and seemed to fall easily into a seamless partnership. It seemed like as the show progressed, Willy seemed to be learning from Barney's expertise; what might Barney have learned from Willy? What was a mission like from their behind-the-scenes viewpoint?

James "Jim" Phelps & Dan Briggs (Mission Impossible (TV 1966))
Jim and Dan, team leaders - compare and contrast!

Dan was much more about the plotting of the missions, frequently setting the stage then watching the team members play out the parts he had designed for them. He could seem cold and ruthless, once deliberately shooting an adversary at close quarters as a part of one of his plans. Yet he also seemed to care about his team in an understated way, frequently touching his team on the shoulder in encouragement, praise or sympathy. I imagine he was a difficult person to get to know. Jim on the other hand was more of a strong athletic man - the charismatic general leading his troops into battle. He seems more accessible than Dan, and more inclined to socialise with the team off the clock, but doesn't seem to be as touchy-feely as Dan, especially at first.

How was the transition between leaders for the team? Easy or difficult? Why did the transition happen? Did the two ever meet, and if so what did they talk about?

Rollin Hand & Paris (Mission Impossible (TV 1966))

These two both have a theatrical background and come to the team as masters of disguise and magicians, but it seems to me that they have a different approach to their role.

Rollin seems fascinated with stagecraft as a whole, involving himself in all aspects of missions setups and working with the amateur dramatic societies the IMF used on scene setting, wardrobe, directing etc. He was even in charge of a mission on one occasion when Dan was unavailable for some reason. He's also very much an extrovert.

Paris on the other hand seems to be more introverted and very focused on the acting side of things - it seems to me that he actually looked much deeper into the personalities of the people he impersonated, actually becoming that person whereas for Rollin they were masks that could be easily discarded.

Maybe the two of them could meet up and chat about their experiences and their different approaches to the job.

The threesome request does not necessarily have to end in an actual threesome; maybe Rollin is looking back on his time with each leader, maybe after he's left the team. Could this be the reason why he left?

Another master of disguise falling for the team leader! A case of opposites attract here, perhaps - outgoing Jim and introverted Paris. Requited or unrequited? Who makes the first move? I particularly like the episode 'The Hostage' in which Paris is brainwashed to try and get him to kill Jim.

(Extra Note: Jim Phelps seems to have the worst luck with vacations...
- he goes on vacation with Rollin and ends up paralyzed and unable to speak in a town full of inimical secret agents ('The Town' is one of my favourite episodes)
- he goes back to his home town on a nostalgic trip and his childhood friends start being murdered
- he goes on holiday with Barney and gets kidnapped and held hostage
Maybe the poor guy can get a decent vacation for once!)

Also, these guys seem to socialise a lot... for instance in 'Church Bells In Bogota' when Shannon has amnesia, they show her a video of them all at a birthday party for her.

For the & relationship, it would be lovely to have Casey and/or Shannon involved. also for this request, if you need to reference Casey's death for any reason that's OK.

Jim Phelps/Nicholas Black (Mission: Impossible (TV 1988))

Nicholas seems to be more experienced than the other team members and acts at times as if he's the second-in-command of the team. He treats Jim as a mentor but also a personal friend; for example in the first episode he provides comfort to Jim who is worrying over his lack of professionalism in wanting to kill the assassin involved - "He killed your best friend, Jim. No-one's going to fault you on that emotion."

Nicholas Black/Grant Collier/Max Harte (Mission: Impossible (TV 1988))

In the episode 'The Princess', there is a scene where Grant throws a bomb out a window just as it's about to explode, and the bast knocks him backwards into Nicholas and Max, who catch him and hold onto him for a while. That was an 'A-Ha!' moment for me - and maybe also for them? (they were all in tuxes too - yum!) Would love to know more about the start and dynamics of the relationship, and how they cope with being on missions.

Luther has been with Ethan from the beginning, and seems to have a strong enough friendship with him that he feels able to give Ethan advice (whether he wants it or not). Maybe Ethan gets to give the advice for once?

These two definitely start out as adversaries. How would they get over that and end up in a relationship? When did it start? Maybe they were already an item during Rogue Nation and Hunley was in on Brandt calling him and pretending to tell him without Ethan's knowledge about Ethan's plan to kidnap the Prime Minster in London.

Oh, and Hunley survives, pretty please?

For the requests involving Brandt (and maybe the others too) it would be fascinating (and probably entertaining) to hear his opinion of the things the team got up to during 'Fallout' without him there to keep an eye on them.

Extra Note: In the first movie, Jim Phelps was an imposter, and that is a hill I will die on!!

Very Optional Detail: for the Mission: Impossible franchises as a whole - the whole reason I got into the movies despite being an original generation 1966 TV show fan (hence the Extra Note above :D ) was the TV trailer I saw in which Benji was remotely guiding Ethan on a chase using a tablet and a) forgot the screen was locked, then b) had it in 2D instead of 3D, at which point I imagined the ghost of Barney Collier grabbing the tablet from Benji and beating him over the head with it because Barney just Would Not Do that shit :::DDDDD Any exploration of that idea wouls be lovely, as would any interaction between the three sets of characters.

I love the TV show Monkees! (I love them irl too, but the TV show characters are the ones that I'm interested in for fic and other purposes.) Make it a romp, have them taking on villains, whether knowingly or by accident, supporting each other with any problems they might have, hanging out together at the beach house, taking a drive in the Monkeemobile, playing a gig, generally just being friends and having fun. As far as ships are concerned, any pairing would be wonderful, but the four of them together is the relationship of my heart - just give me a big cuddly puppy pile of love! If you do go for a pairing, it would be nice if the other two were around and being supportive (or even paired up themselves).

Also, if you could write Peter as something along the lines of shy, really absent-minded and/or hopelessly innocent/naive rather than as thick as two short planks, I will love you forever!

I love the way that CJ Cherryh came up with species who have their own distinct worldview and way of thinking. The books are written from the hani point of view. It would be fascinating to read about events in the books from the point of view of Skkukuk, one or both of Jik and Goldtooth, or from Tully's point of view – how he copes with the new places he's been thrust into and people he has to deal with. Khym's position as the first spacer hani male is intriguing - how he adjusts to it and finds his way into a relationship with the crew of the Pride.

For the relationships involving Charles, it would be interesting to see how they move from adversaries to lovers.

BJ and Charles always strike me as consummate tricksters, pranksters and con artists who complemented each other perfectly in the episodes where they teamed up. Perhaps they might get together against some serious threat to a member or members of the team, or to the 4077th as a whole, while realising that there could be more to their relationship.

Hawkeye and Charles are both experts at hiding their feelings, albeit in very different ways. Maybe while in the process of needling each other, hints of their true selves might slip out, leading to bonding.

And for the three of them together, any or all of the ideas above!

Sidney &/ Mulcahy - the two of them are both involved in counseling/comforting others, in different ways, but who can they turn to for support when they're the ones who need the counsel/comfort? I'd like to see the two of them turn to each other, with the relationship between them develop from professional, to friendship and perhaps to lovers, maybe while comparing the differences and similarities of the ways they do their jobs.

I was idly wondering one day about the unlikeliest P&P pairings, and these are the two that intrigued me the most. If you are intrigued too, I'd love to read a fic about how either (or both) of them might get together.

Elizabeth Bennet & Lady Catherine
Lizzy and Lady C. are the Irresistable Force and the Immovable Object personified, though it can be difficult to tell which one is which. Could these two ever come to an understanding? How would they get there? And how much collateral damage would it cause to the Collinses, Darcys, Fitzwilliams and Bennets?

I'd love to read about the daily lives of the sisters, and how they relate to one another. For instance, does Mary feel left out as her elder and younger sisters have so much in common, or are there areas where she can interact with them. What would a conversation between the five of them be like without either parent present? How do their relationships change after the marriages of Lydia, Jane and Lizzy? Do Mary and Kitty, the two left at home, become closer? Letters between the five of them would be interesting.

Mary/Mr Collins
Would a marriage between the two be as compatible and satisfying as would appear likely, or would Mary's bookishness and musical pursuits get in the way of housekeeping, and how would the two of them cope, with or without interference from Lady Catherine? What does Mary think about her new life?

Mr Bennet &/ Charles and Darcy
What might their relationship look like? Does Mr Bennet become a mentor to the two of them, or do they have a beneficial influence on his tendency to indolence - maybe both.

Yes, the / relationship is another of my unlikely relationships, why do you ask? :D But again, if it intrigues you too, do please go with it, though I'd prefer it not to end badly for Jane and Elizabeth (in whatever way you choose that to happen).

I'd like some sort of happy relationship between the two of them - their courtship, perhaps. Or maybe Mrs Bennet calms down with three daughters married and eligible introductions likely coming the way of her other two, and she and Mr Bennet rekindle/kindle a good marriage. Or perhaps an AU where they get their marriage to work despite the incompatibilities they discover.

I was lucky enough to see Siegfried & Roy's show in Las Vegas a couple of times in the 90s - I'd gone there to see the Moody Blues at Caesar's, and a friend told me that if I loved the Moodies I'd love S&R – and he was so right! The animals and the illusions were amazing, the staging and costumes were gorgeous, and the rapport between the two of them warmed the cockles of my shippy little heart.

From what I found out from googling the hell out of them when I got back from Vegas, their relationship was one of those 'secrets that everybody knows except the people who don't want to'. A few people said they'd split up and just had a business partnership, but I hoped that either it wasn't true or they'd get back together. I'd always meant to go back to Vegas to see them a 3rd time (and more), but then Roy had his accident :'-( I heard bits and pieces about them from time to time, and rewatched the DVDs I have of them and reread their autobiography (which is itself a masterpiece of misdirection). But then a little while ago I found and bought the magazine which had this 10-years-later interview (thank you ebay!) and it kicked my shippiness for them back into high gear:

I was particularly taken with these comments from the interview:

Asked if the duo is like a couple married for decades, Siegfried swiftly agrees. “Ya,” he says. “It is 55 years for us. It was not always like this for us. We have had our ups and downs, but when I am home, it’s Roy’s home, too.”

What kind of shenanigans might the get up to on the Station, whether for business or pleasure, and what might their business be? Do they take an interest in the Mirror Universe? In what way (and what does Garak think about the competence - or otherwise - of his Mirror counterpart?)?

I like the concept of the two Bashirs being soulmates/soul-bonding, and in the case of the threesome would love Garak to be caught up in that in some way.

For the three medical staff, or for McCoy and M'Benga, their inter-relationship, and how they work together in the running of the Medical Department would be interesting. Do they socialize at all outside work, maybe getting together over a drink (in McCoy's office) to gossip about unusual or particularly annoying patients - especially Vulcan ones! How does McCoy feel about M'Benga's experience with Vulcan medicine - does he feel that M'Benga is butting in on -his- expertise with Spock-as-a-hybrid, or does he welcome not having to deal with Spock medically (or appreciate having back-up when Spock is being particularly obstinate)?

For Spock and M'Benga, how does Spock feel about a human with Vulcan medical experience? Does he trust M'Benga's expertise, or does he feel that a human cannot understand Vulcan anatomy and physiology sufficiently to be trusted with his care?

First of all, thank you so much for being my writer! I'm going to ramble on a bit generally (probably a lot, actually), then try and write something about why I like these fandoms, and give some ideas I've had about possible stories, but feel free to ignore any or all of it if it's not helpful.

The general stuff...

I really need happy endings. A little angst on the way there is fine, though.

I usually like characters to be friends (or at least frenemies!). I like to see the progression of a friendship between newly-met characters who grow to like and trust each other over time, and eventually would do just about anything for each other, especially when their friendship is somewhat unexpected. How do established friendships deal with daily life, how do they solve conflicts, how do they support and comfort each other when things don't go too well?

I'm particularly partial to humour in my fic. I like characters with a shared sense of humour, especially when used to express affection by people who aren't comfortable discussing 'feelings'. A story absolutely doesn’t have to be funny for me to like it, though: I like angst, arguments, and heartache in small doses, as long as there’s a happy ending.

I love epistolary fic - not necessarily just in the form of actual letters; diary entries or in a modern or future setting voicemail, emails, texts, blog posts, message board transcripts, viewscreens, Facebook or Twitter posts will work, in any combination.

I enjoy both plot- and character-driven stories. Plots that show off character are perfect – the best of both worlds! I like stories that span an hour and stories that span years. Back story, missing scene fic, prequels, sequels, the same scene from different perspectives, fix-its, canon divergence will be loved. I love ‘five things’ type fics that show off significant moments in characters' lives. I love short fics, long fics, and anything else that takes your fancy.

Feel free to include characters that I didn't specifically ask for if they fit your story, but I'd prefer my requested character(s) to be the focus of the story.

I love crossovers (both sneaky and overt) and fusions where one set of characters are transplanted to another canonical universe. As long as I know the other canon or canons, I will be delighted. I'd love a fic where one is in peril and the other has to come to his rescue, or maybe they rescue each other - a situation where they actually have to admit how much they care for each other.

Whatever story you tell, I'd love a humourous take on it.

For this fandom I'll read any rating from G to NC-17. If you're considering writing porn, that's wonderful. If you don't want to, that's fine too.

As a fan of 'It Ain't Half Hot, Mum' I was particularly taken by Windsor Davies' voiceover for Sergeant Major Zero, so a fic focusing on him or all of the Zeroids would be loved.

So I decided to watch the first episode on YouTube.... several hours later.... :) To see these two is to love them, while simultaneously busting a gut laughing. Thank you, lamardeuse! It's a reality programme presented by Philip Glenister of 'Life On Mars' fame, and Ant Anstead, who as the blurb on the programme says is 'an internationally renowned car designer' and very easy on the eyes! The two of them are hilarious together, and pretty much slash themselves.

And as for Klink and Schultz, what do they have to say to each other when none of the prisoners are around? Do they like each other? Do they talk to each other about camp business only, or about personal things? Could they trust each other enough to be honest about potentially dangerous topics (the war, the gestapo etc)?

I'd rather like Colonel Klink and/or Sergeant Schultz to be aware of what Hogan and his men are up to, either with or without Hogan realizing this.

For the relationships involving Charles, it would be interesting to see how they move from adversaries to lovers.

BJ and Charles always strike me as consummate tricksters, pranksters and con artists who complemented each other perfectly in the episodes where they teamed up. Perhaps they might get together against some serious threat to a member or members of the team, or to the 4077^th as a whole, while realising that there could be more to their relationship.

Hawkeye and Charles are both experts at hiding their feelings, albeit in very different ways. Maybe while in the process of needling each other, hints of their true selves might slip out, leading to bonding.

And for the three of them together, any or all of the ideas above!

The combination of Sidney and Mulcahy intrigues me a lot. The two of them are both involved in counseling/comforting others, albeit in different ways, but who can they turn to for support when they're the ones who need the counsel/comfort? I'd like to see the two of them turn to each other, with the relationship between them developing from professional to friendship, and if you go for the / option, to lovers.

I saw Gordy/Paul as kind of a younger version of Justin/John, to the extent that I usually refer to these two as the Baby Jays. A story exploring this idea would make me squee with joy, especially if Justin and John were in an established relationship while Gordy and Paul were gradually feeling their way from being friends to becoming lovers! :) Actually, thinking about it, reversing the couples in that idea would have me squeeing just as loudly!

For all the relationships, any story, first-time, established relationship, on stage or off-stage (maybe trying to balance the two) wuld be lovely.

In the case of the foursome, I have no idea how this could come about, but if you do, please, please tell me all about it! :D

What is the Wishlist?
The Wishlist is a multi-fandom Christmas fanfiction fest. It is something that started very small and simple five years ago. The premise was simply to write twenty-four ficlets in response to twenty-four prompts, posted between 1 Dec and 24 Dec. Fandom gifts, if you will. Since then it's grown and changed a bit.

Awkward conversations that play out terribly, banter, bickering, friendly arguments, cutting commentary, subtle (or not so subtle) mockery, politeness or the pretense of it as veneer or weapon against the unaware are great. A story absolutely doesn’t have to be funny for me to like it, though: I like angst, arguments, seemingly unrequited longing, and heartache in small doses, as long as there’s a happy ending.

Fanfiction Any Relationship

For these relationships, I'm interested in the dynamics between the characters involved.

Biggles is the unquestioned leader as far as outside ventures are concerned; I wonder whether this continues to be the case in private, or if he might (if only occasionally) let himself be taken in charge/cared for, and if so, whether he does so naturally or whether he needs to be coaxed into it (consensually).

As for the others:

Algy has been with Biggles the longest; he's Biggles' cousin and was posted to Biggles' squadron during WW1. Their relationship was pretty rocky at first, since Biggles resented Algy's mother asking him to look after Algy, and Algy had a bit of a case of hero-worship. However, they bonded pretty quickly, and Algy has been Biggles' second-in-command ever since. Would this carry on into their private life, or would Algy want to take charge for a change?

Von Stalhein has known Biggles and Algy for almost as long as they've known each other, but in an adversarial role (also with Bertie after he joined up with Biggles and Co). Even though there's a truce after they rescue him from Sakhalin, the relationship is uneasy. It would be interesting to see how any relationship featuring him would come about.

Bertie only joined the gang in WW2, but I think the confidence and acceptance of self that I see in him would mean he would find no difficulty in joining in with more intimate things. I think he could well switch roles as necessary in a relationship.

A story exploring this idea, as the two pairs gradually come together, would make me squee with joy! :)

First of all, thank you so much for being my writer! I'm going to ramble on a bit generally (probably a lot, actually), then try and write something about why I like these fandoms, and give some ideas I've had about possible stories, but feel free to ignore any or all of it if it's not helpful.

The general stuff...

I really need happy endings. A little angst on the way there is fine, though.

I like characters to be friends (or at least frenemies!). I like to see the progression of a friendship between newly-met characters who grow to like and trust each other over time, and eventually would do just about anything for each other, especially when they don't like each other all that much at first and their friendship is somewhat unexpected. I really enjoy people in relationships that grow from friendship, particularly if that's unexpected too. With both platonic or romantic partners: how do they deal with daily life, how do they solve conflicts, how do they support and comfort each other when things don't go too well?

I'm particularly partial to humour, wit, sarcasm and silliness in my fic. I like characters with a shared sense of humour that tends towards the sarcastic, especially when used to express affection by people who aren't comfortable discussing 'feelings'. Awkward conversations that play out terribly, banter, bickering, friendly arguments, cutting commentary, subtle (or not so subtle) mockery, politeness or the pretense of it as veneer or weapon against the unaware are totally my bag. A story doesn’t have to be funny for me to like it, though: I like angst, arguments, seemingly unrequited longing, and heartache in small doses, as long as there’s a happy ending.

I love epistolary fic - not necessarily just in the form of actual letters; in a modern or future setting voicemail, emails, texts, blog posts, message board transcripts, viewscreens, Facebook or Twitter posts will work, in any combination.

I enjoy both plot-driven stories and character-driven stories that focus on relationships (either romantic or platonic). Plot that shows off character is perfect - the best of both worlds! I like stories that span an hour and stories that span years. Back story, missing scene fic, established relationships, prequels, sequels, the same scene from different perspectives, fix-its, and canon divergence will be loved. I love ‘five things’ type fics that show off significant moments in a character’s life. I love short fics, long fics, and anything else that takes your fancy. I love forced bed sharing, arranged or accidental marriages, and pretend boyfriends.

Feel free to include characters that I didn't specifically ask for if they fit your story, but I'd prefer my requested character(s) to be the focus of the story.

I'm a total slash bunny, and will read any rating from G to NC-17, but if you don't want to go there, gen is fine too. If you're considering writing porn, that's wonderful. If you'd rather not, that's ok too. Gen, ships (including poly - actually preferred in the case of the Monkees), and in betweens are all excellent. I love romance, slow-burn UST to RST, first-time stories (I'm a total sucker for those), porn (if appropriate), but I also like friendship stories.

If you're writing Biggles, kinkier stuff is ok, too. Favourite kinks include role play (not age play, though), dubcon (the sort where afterwards they think it was hot, even if consent was problematic at the time), dirty talk, poly, voyeurism, exhibitionism, cross-dressing, figging and erotic spanking. I can also go for mild BDSM (not lifestyle; easily slipping into and out of it is fun, particularly if it's done humourously), light bondage/restraints, wax play and toys.

I love crossovers (both sneaky and overt) and fusions where one set of characters are transplanted to another canonical universe. As long as I know the other canon or canons, I will be delighted. Feel free to use any interest in my profile that takes your fancy (or even more than one – the more the merrier); there are plenty to choose from!

Dislikes

One of my biggest squicks to the point of phobia is pregnancy (male or female), so even if a canon might be expected to make a big deal out of it, please don't go there. Cruelty to/death of animals triggers the hell out of me, to the point that I can't read stories that mention it.

As I said earlier, I really need a story with a happy ending. Some unhappy elements on the way are fine if the outcome is happy, but nothing extremely dark, please, and don't make it the focus of the story.
Things I don't like include deathfic, noncon, torture, abuse, infidelity or any other type of partner betrayal, character bashing, kidfic, embarrassment/humiliation and certain kinks (I don't care for scat, watersports, blood, lifestyle D/s, age-play and bestiality).

Not exactly dislikes, but...

I'm not really familiar with daemons, so if you want to go with this you'll need to include a 'For Dummies' explanation :)

Also, I tend to have a problem with AUs in that the further away an AU gets from canon, the more difficulty I have 'seeing' the characters in my mind's eye. This is especially true if the setting of the AU necessitates tinkering with the characters' names.

Bertie is my favourite character in this fandom, so I'd like to know more about him - his life before he joined 666 Squadron, why it was that Biggles, Algy and Ginger accepted him into their inner circle, why he feels it necessary to play the 'silly ass' - what makes him tick in general. Probably my favorite book of the series is 'Biggles Fails To Return', which is the first one in which Bertie takes a major role, and mentions a bit about his background.

My head-canon has him being a similar age to Biggles and Algy; if you like this idea, it would be interesting to know what he got up to in WW1, and whether Biggles and Algy (or von Stalhein) were aware of him.

I'd love to read about him being in a relationship with Biggles or von Stalhein (or both - the dynamics of this would be fascinating), but this is very optional! :)

I really enjoy people in relationships that grow from friendship, particularly if that's unexpected too. How do established partners deal with daily life, how do they solve conflicts, how do they support and comfort each other when things don't go too well?

I'm particularly partial to humour, wit, sarcasm and silliness in my fic. I like characters with a shared sense of humour that tends towards the sarcastic, especially when used to express affection by people who aren't comfortable discussing 'feelings'. Awkward conversations that play out terribly, tonally incongruous humor, banter, bickering, friendly arguments, cutting commentary, subtle (or not so subtle) mockery, politeness or the pretense of it as veneer or weapon against the unaware are totally my bag. A story absolutely doesn’t have to be funny for me to like it, though: I like angst, arguments, seemingly unrequited longing, and heartache in small doses, as long as there’s a happy ending.

I can see the relationship between Mr Bennett and Charles being a mentor/mentee relationships, but I wonder what the dynamics between Mr Bennett and Darcy would be like – possibly he might do what Elizabeth would do for Darcy in canon, eg teaching him how to take teasing (If you want to have the three of them together, that would be wonderful too).

Request 2: Sense and Sensibility – Jane Austen

Colonel Brandon/Elinor Dashwood

I think Elinor and Colonel Brandon would do very well together, to my mind better than Elinor and Edward (especially book-Edward). They become very good friends in canon, and I'd like to read about how this might develop into romantic love.

For the pairing/threesome involving Charles, it would be interesting to see how they move from adversaries to lovers.

She was the one who made the first move to end the estrangement with Sara after Sara became the maid-of-all-work, and also Sara has no hesitation in deciding to tell Ermengarde about the 'Magic' with no worry that she'll let anyone else know, either by accident and design, so she obviously has hidden depths.

It would be interesting to see how Sara's relationship with Becky develops after the end of the book.

A story absolutely doesn’t have to be funny for me to like it, though: I like angst, arguments, seemingly unrequited longing, and heartache in small doses, as long as there’s a happy ending.

Any rating is fine with me. I love romance, slow-burn UST to RST, first-time stories, porn - see note at the end of the general section about porn.

Feel free to include characters that I didn't specifically ask for if they fit your story, but I'd prefer my requested characters to be the focus of the story.

Swearing, crudity etc is not a problem, and in fact where it is a thing in canon I’d prefer it to be included.

Dislikes

One of my biggest squicks to the point of phobia is pregnancy (male or female), so even when a canon (such as the Austen ones) might be expected to make a big deal out of it, please don't go there.

As I said earlier, I really need a story with a happy ending. Some unhappy elements on the way are fine if the outcome is happy, but nothing extremely dark, please. Things I don't like include deathfic (excluding those canons involving canon conflict, though I would prefer OC death rather than canon character death), noncon, torture, abuse, infidelity or any other type of partner betrayal, character bashing, and certain kinks (see porn section for details). References to past hurts are fine, but please don't make that the focus of the fic

As I said above, I'll read any rating from G to NC-17. If you're considering writing porn, that's wonderful. If you don't want to, that's fine too.

In general, I like romance, and first kisses, and virgins, and vanilla, and all that comes with that – visible nerves, awkwardness, neediness and emotions on high. I'm a sucker for first-time fics.

Kinkier stuff is more than ok, too. Favourite kinks include role play (not age play, though), dubcon (the sort where afterwards they think it was hot, even if consent was problematic at the time), dirty talk, poly, voyeurism, exhibitionism, cross-dressing and erotic spanking. I can also go for mild BDSM (not lifestyle; easily slipping into and out of it is fun, particularly with a humourous slant), light bondage/restraints, public sex/sex where there is a risk of being caught, wax play, figging and toys.

Squicks are scat, watersports, blood (in a sex context; blood in the course of a day's work is ok), humiliation, lifestyle D/s, age-play and bestiality.

Sidney/Mulcahy - the two of them are both involved in counseling/comforting others, albeit in different ways, but who can they turn to for support when they're the ones who need the counsel/comfort? I'd like to see the two of them turn to each other, with the relationship between them develop from professional, to friendship to lovers.

Charles/Klinger – an unlikely pairing, but one that intrigues me very much, and I'd like to see how that could come about.
